Why you should not use Admin as your CMS login
A large amount of Content Management Systems (CMS) that are compromised by malware or hacking are due to privileged user accounts using the standard convention “administrator” or “admin” and the username.
Many automated malware attacks rely on a password-guessing program that if given enough time can break into your CMS and leave malicious scripts on your web site. By using “admin” or “administrator” as your username it reduces the username/password combinations, making is easier to break in to your system.
This simple security strategy works.
